Just the Beginning

Yes, we are expecting! Today I am officially 13 weeks pregnant which means I'm officially in my second trimester. YES! I have haven't had many "typical" pregnancy symptoms (i.e.- nausea, vomiting, weird cravings, etc.) but I am a little more emotional and cry-babyish lol I cried when I saw an old couple trying to make a left turn on a yielded green light during "traffic" time in this small little town of Rexburg... they were waiting for oncoming traffic to clear up so they could make their turn and all the cars were honking at them!! It was truly a sad sight.. Anyway, my pants are feeling a little tighter.. During my lunch break I had to change my pants because they felt just a liiiiittle too tight.. :/ haha I'm now wearing a stretchy skirt *relief* Tomorrow Jordan and I are going to do a little maternity clothes shopping at my favorite store-Le Tarjay- otherwise known as "Target"

So how did I find out I was  you ask? Well, Jordan was at work and I had 3 hours to myself before I had to pick him up.. so I went to Wal-Mart (the ONLY store in Rexburg, ID) and bought a few pregnancy tests.. I came home.. peed on the stick and immediately put the test back into the package. (I didn't wanna look! I was nervous!) So I finished up my business on the "royal seat" and the time came to look at THE RESULTS. dun dun DUN! Lo and behold, it was positive! I freaked out a little... cried a little.. and then started thinking of ways to tell Jordan. I looked for stories online.. most of the ones that I liked would require me to go back to the store or do something that took too much time... so I just decided to do something on my own.

Here is how I told Jordan we were going to have a baby...I first picked him up from work I didn't tell him anything until we came up the stairs to our apartment. I told him to wait by the entrance while I got the cake holder and Voi La!
"Will you be our baby's Father?"

(I'm going for the PINK! but blue is fine too...)

So Jordan was shocked! He kept saying "Really?!"
And here is me the day we went to our FIRST doctors appt.
And here I am at our SECOND doctors appt. on May 17th- I have never had to pee so bad in my life!

Here is the handsome husband of mine.. waiting on the doc to do our ultrasound
Babys head is on the left and body is on the right. It's not a profile picture btw.. its a top view of baby.

"Little Alien"

But it was all worth the wait. We got to see our little baby and hear that fast little heartbeat. This ultrasound made everything feel so real!!! It was one of the coolest experiences Jordan and I have ever experienced together. It was priceless.

Here I am at 12 weeks and 4 days. Little baby bump? I think yes.

Till next time!
Love,
The Nickels
